How to Setup VPN on Nvidia Shield

  1. Make sure you have an IPVanish VPN account. Click here if you don’t.
  2. From your Nvidia Shield main menu, launch the Google Play Store.
  3. Click the Search icon in the upper right corner. Enter in IPVanish in the Search Box.
  4. Select the IPVanish app from the search results. Click on Install.
  5. After the app has finished downloading and installing, it can be opened from this menu or accessed from your Nvidia Shield home screen under ‘Apps’.
  6. Launch IPVanish. The first time you use the app, it will ask for permission, which you should say Yes to.

  • Select SYSTEM
  • Select Add-ons

  • Wait for Add-on enabled notification
  • Select Install from repository

  • Select Services
  • Select VPN Manager for OpenVPN

  • In the VPN Configuration Window click on VPN Provider and scroll through until you find your VPN Provider
